Meet the SVTRC Horses!

Carrot

Picture
I'm Carrot, and I am a 18 year old Haflinger gelding! I am a super sweet boy and was to SVTRC through Brookside Stables from 2016 until 2021 when SVTRC purchased me! Everyone tells me how handsome I am, and I'm also super friendly! I'm short enough so that young riders feel confident on me, but I'm built like a tank so even adults feel comfortable riding me! I have so much hair that I always have a crazy 'do!

Duke

Picture
My name is Duke and I'm a playful 22 year old Morgan gelding. I am currently on lease to the SVTRC program. I am small enough for our smallest participants but still a great size for some of our adults. I take great pride in building confidence in my riders and teach many to canter safely. I'm very invested in my riders and always make sure to greet and check on them when they dismount.

Bubbles

Picture
I'm Bubbles! I'm an 17 year old paint mare. I was donated to SVTRC in 2018. People say I'm very sweet, and a great step up after gaining confidence on Duke or Carrot. I do well being lead, and ridden off-lead! My volunteers used to say I have a very fast walk, but as I've gotten more comfortable in my job, I've slowed down a bit! I'm a great mount for riders of all levels. I used to be a trail horse, so I'm not afraid of much. I have a funny habit of smacking my lips that people think is cute!
